I've known Marisa for a while. By the time she joined the team, it felt overdue.
She's been a fixture in the Omaha scene — House of Heat, Juneteenth Joy Fest, the Watublock Party, Off The Record, Cafecito Sundays, The Green Room. These aren't filler gigs. These are the events where people who actually care about music show up. And she keeps getting booked for them because she delivers.
Her wheelhouse is house, ghetto tech, R&B, and hip hop — but what makes her good at weddings is the same thing that makes her good at those events: she knows how to read a crowd and keep them there. No gimmicks. Just the right song at the right moment.
She's also a photographer, which might sound unrelated, but I think it says something about how she moves through creative spaces — she's always paying attention. That awareness comes through in her sets.
